Some snippets from our Twitter page where I try and update on a daily basis with details of reduced admission prices and other interesting ideas and initiatives that clubs are trying.
There was free football on offer at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday when Manchester United met Oldham Athletic in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup. That was just the start of a season of free admission to watch United's Under-23 side in the newly-revamped Premier League 2.
Eight matches are scheduled to date, starting with games against Leicester City on Monday 15 August at 7pm and Chelsea on Sunday 28 August at 1pm.
In the FA Women's Super League, Birmingham City Ladies are offering a special ticket deal to their final two home matches of the season, against Chelsea on Sunday 28 August and Liverpool on Sunday 25 September.
Combined entrance to both games is priced at £10 Adults, £5 Concessions and £25 for a family ticket.
Two clubs who have featured a lot on our twitter page over the past couple of seasons are Hitchin Town FC and AFC Emley.
Hitchin attracted 640 to Top Field with 'Pay What You Want' admission for the game against Luton Town recently and I'm sure there will be similar offers made during the coming season.
After a successful open day last weekend, AFC Emley are continuing to offer their £10 'all in' admission ticket for the 2016/17 campaign. This price covers admission, programme, raffle ticket, a hot drink and any item from the cafĂ© menu.
