A beautiful backdrop to the home ground of U.E. Sitges, just along the coast from Barcelona, where I was fortunate to spend a Saturday afternoon watching the sun go down over the mediterranean as the club's 'B' side were in action last weekend.
As you would expect, in such a famous footballing region, there is a thriving grassroots scene in the city and its surrounding area with many of the grounds being similar to this one, an all-weather facility that is clearly well-used with welcoming bars serving beers and snacks.
The Catalan Football Federation website has a good fixture guide for all levels of the game.
