Having come so close to promotion in the past two seasons, losing out at the play-off stage both times, Royston Town FC have made sure of going up nice and early this time around.
The Southern League Division One Central Division title was wrapped up last week and The Crows will be presented with the trophy this coming Saturday, April 15, when Aylesbury United are the visitors to Garden Walk and spectators can 'Pay What You Want' for admission.
In existence since 1875, Royston have been playing at their current home since 1932. Their location means they could be playing either in the Southern or Ryman League Premier Division next season but managed Steve Castle told The Non-League Paper at the weekend that: "It's a no-fear approach.
"We've got a good side and we will give it a good go."
