Salford City FC

2-1 winners at Burscough on Saturday afternoon, Salford City stand on the brink of automatic promotion from the Evo-Stik League First Division after a titanic battle with Darlington 1883.

The Ammies need a win at home to Osset Town this coming weekend to secure the Evo-Stik League First Division North title and for the second home game in succession they are offering free entry to spectators.

Over 700 watched the match against Clitheroe at Moor Lane recently, with more than a few  spectators taking the chance to grab a picture with co-owners Gary Neville and Paul Scholes. The Manchester United legends, along with their fellow 'Class of 92' colleagues Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt, took a 50% share in the club last year.
