The sixth annual 'Daggers Against Racism Day' took place on Saturday afternoon at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium where Dagenham & Redbridge hosted Cheltenham Town in an important League Two fixture.
Adult tickets purchased in advance were available from £2.50 with concessions 50p and Under-10's free but the day is always about more than just reduced price football as the Daggers take very seriously both their work against racism and their role in the local community.
Dagenham's previous home games in January attracted crowds of 1,877 and 1,892 but a season's best of 2,692 watched the Cheltenham game and a crucial three points for the home side. Hopefully a few of those extra fans will be back again before the end of the season.
